Creative Fabrications opened its doors in 2011. Our company began with a father and son, alongside three employees with simple welding and fabrication experience in a 5,000 SF building. At first, our primary offerings to customers were to provide simple constructed metal products including window well covers and railings for residential projects. Soon after the company started – the son, Danny Jensen, purchased 100% stake and operational control of the company with aspirations of scaling to a much larger company with the ability to serve more people.
Although Danny and Creative Fabrications faced many challenges growing a small business in the red market that is welding & fabrication, which is saturated with skilled competitors that already had a strong presence in the community, Danny would not be deterred. After a few years of challenges with competitive bidding and long hours in an effort to gain new customers, Danny and Creative Fabrications started to gain more traction.
Danny soon caught the attention of a much larger fellow fabrication shop owner who offered to assist and mentor him to help him grow the company he envisioned. They immediately got to work and expanded the company by relocating to a 18,000 SF facility. They invested a significant amount of capital to add new equipment including a powder coating oven & booth, press brake, sheer, larger fab tables, additional welders and a 5-ton overhead crane. The company was soon able to compete against larger and more established fabrication businesses.
